New York City Permitting

IDEKO Productions is a full service events production agency with a specialization in NYC permitting. The iDEKO team has a deep expertise in navigating the complex world of New York City permitting across all primary and support permitting agencies including but not limited to the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, Parks Department, Film Office, the Department of Buildings the Fire Department, and the Department of Health. iDEKO has handled NYC permitting for events of all sizes including the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Launch Week, U.S. Soccer Send Off to the World Cup, and many other events. These permits included:

  • Street Activities Permit

  • Parks Permit

  • Filming Permit

  • DOB Structural Permit for all structures meeting the threshold outlined by DOB code

  • DOB Temporary Public Assembly Permit for necessary egress and ADA compliance

  • DOB After Hours Variance to conduct building between 7pm-6am

  • DOH Permits for catering, off premise food service and other activities defined by DOH policy

Evan Korn, one of iDEKO’s partners, served as the Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management. In this capacity, he concepted, designed and developed the current on-line NYC event permit application system. In this capacity, Evan advised the Mayor on policy, planning, and operational matters common to the permitting, coordination, and implementation of street events and other activities in public spaces.
