Jackie Robinson Museum Grand Opening
Concept
The Jackie Robinson Museum was created to celebrate the enduring legacy of one of the most important Americans of the 20th century. To celebrate the opening of the new museum in downtown Manhattan, IDEKO worked with sister company NYFF to produce two days of programming for the iconic grand opening celebration.
The event started with a breakfast and ribbon cutting, including celebrity guests such as Billie Jean King and Spike Lee. In the evening, a celebratory reception was held inside a large, air-conditioned tent decorated with photos and facts about Jackie Robinson. The last day of programming included a community day for over 2,000 local kids, a discussion panel, and a screening of the film After Jackie.
