Playbill Pride in Times Square
The Story
Playbill and Times Square Alliance partnered to celebrate inclusivity and the power of the arts in the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride weekend in New York City. Pride in Times Square, a two-day series of free concerts and Broadway performances, was co-sponsored by ViiV Healthcare and NYC Pride, with additional support from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), The Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment (MOME), and MOTTO by Hilton NYC Times Square.
We produced all performances across the weekend, handling permitting, audio, logistics, and site support. Our team designed and fabricated a custom float decorated with special Pride-themed Playbill covers that doubled as a performance stage. We also custom wrapped a double-decker bus for sponsor ViiV Healthcare that was displayed throughout the event and featured at the Pride March.
