Highwire Live in Times Square with Nik Wallenda

Concept

In June 2019, we partnered with Dick Clark Productions and Nik Wallenda to produce a death-defying stunt over NYC’s Times Square. Nik and his sister Lijana walked from One Times Square to Two Times Square on a ¾- inch wire 25 stories above the ground. This stunt was broadcast LIVE on ABC and averaged 5.3 million viewers.

Our Role

This was a massive permitting challenge. Multiple buildings needed to have the high wire tethered, an engineering feat of cable 200’ above ground. The contingency plan and all site ops were as big as it gets.
