rED bULL nINJA nEW yEARS eVE pARTY
Concept
In December 2018, we teamed up with Red Bull and the world’s best Fortnite player and Red Bull Athlete Ninja Blevins to produce the #NinjaNewYears Eve party overlooking the ball drop in Times Square at the historic Paramount Building. Ninja played Fortnite with his friends from 4 PM December 31, 2018 through January 1, 2019. This event included everything from an indoor mini golf course to banks of computers where guests could try their hand at Fortnite.
Our Role
We were responsible for overall project management, including providing venue options in Times Square and securing the venue, including contract. We also secured all necessary permits for the event, including liaising with the Times Square Alliance and the NYPD. We led all onsite scenic and production elements including audio, video, lighting, etc.
Despite the torrential downpour, the gaming sesh raged into the night, giving 2019 the epic welcome it deserved.
